beta-galactosidase
beta-galactosidase
Nuclear beta-galactosidase. Useful as both general nucleic acid and protein toxicity control and as a lineage tracer. Protein translated from injected mRNA can be detected using histochemistry with BCIG/X-gal or immunohistochemistry using the anti-beta-galactosidase monoclonal from Promega (high concentrations of this anitbody must be used, usually 1:50 dilution of the 1 mg/ml supplied solution).
pSPB-gal.
Available from lots of people including Ali Hemmati-Brivanlou and Peter Vize.
