Xslu (Slug), nucleic acid

Cloned by Roberto Mayor, Richard Morgan and Mike Sargent at the NIMR, Mill Hill. Slug is related to Snail, another zinc finger protein expressed in presumtive crest. Slug is found in both pre- and post-migratory cranial and trunk neural crest (stage 12+), and in the lateral plate (stage 17+).
