XMyoD
XMyoD, nucleic acid and monoclonal antibody
Cloned by Nick Hopwood et al. in the Gurdon laboratory. Initially expressed in both the lateral and ventral marginal zone (stage 10), but then becomes restricted to the lateral MZ by stage 12 (Frank and Harland, 1991). This image is from Dosch et al., 1997. A monoclonal antibody is available from John Gurdon.
