Differentiation is a multidisciplinary journal dealing with all problems relating to cell differentiation, development, cellular structure and function,and cancer. During this past year there was a reorganization of the editorial board as well as a change in publisher. While maintaining the tradition of excellence established during the past quarter of a century, the new Editor-in-Chief and the Senior Editors intend to revitalize the journal making it one of the premier journals in the field.

Aims and Scope

Original contributions in the following areas will be welcome:

• molecular biology of differentiation
• embryonic patterning
• carcinogenesis and cancer
• mechanisms involved in cell growth and division especially relating to cancer
• establishment of cellular polarity
• cell and tissue interactions in vivo and in vitro
• signal transduction pathways in development and differentiation
• transgenic and targeted mutagenesis models of differentiation
• organogenesis
• plant cell differentiation
• biology of stem cells
• evolutionary aspects of cell differentiation
