Research Description:
I am interested in craniofacial development and the role of neural crest cells. Specifically, I'm is interested in the role of the spliceosome in neural crest development, and how mutations in specific splicing factors can lead to craniofacial disorders. We use both Xenopus embryos and in-vitro-derived human neural crest as model systems. I received my PhD. in Development, Stem Cells, and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. I joined the Saint-Jeannet team in fall 2019.
