Xenopus GO Community Curation Workshop
GO Xenopus!
A community Gene Ontology (GO) curation workshop will be held at the 20th IXC meeting in Portsmouth, Aug 17-21.
The workshop is scheduled on the morning of Day 2, Monday the 18th and Day 3, Tuesday the 19th.
Hope to see you there, bright and early, and ready to GO!
Remember, YOU are the experts on your own work.
As much as we curators at Xenbase admire your discoveries and know how awesome they are....
You and your lab generated these data and are the best ones to make annotations to the Gene Ontology.
You know your genes.
You know what they do.
You know what you did.
Help us build up Xenopus-specific GO annotations to enrich the accesibility of what you have already discovered.
Let the world know of your work! - Making these annotations gets computers in on the action.
Don't depend on inferred results from human, mouse, rat, fish, chicken, etc. Unleash the power of Xenopus!
You train your staff to be experts in your field. Once you feel confident in them, they can help make GO annotations.
Remember this page and the links to our suggested procedure and the list of URLs needed.
We at Xenbase collaborate with the Gene Ontology and the Alliance of Genome Resources to disseminate your lab's discoveries.
