This Special Issue for Developmental Biology aims to provide a comprehensive view of how cytoskeletal systems coordinate to drive cell migration in developmental contexts. We welcome studies focusing on the roles of individual cytoskeletal components as well as investigations into the mechanisms that integrate these systems to achieve coordinated cell movement. In particular, submissions that elucidate the crosstalk, physical interactions, and regulatory networks linking different cytoskeletal elements are highly encouraged.

This Special Issue celebrates over 20 years of the GUDMAP consortium and highlights advances in genitourinary (GU) development. We welcome contributions from the broad research community, including original studies and focused reviews on kidney, ureter, bladder, urethra, prostate, and external genitalia development. Topics include molecular mechanisms of cell fate, tissue patterning, and disease links. We also encourage work on emerging model systems, including organoids, that enable functional and mechanistic studies. This collection aims to integrate current insights and identify key directions for future research in GU biology.
