The marchf11 gene encodes a membrane-associated ring-ch (march) type E3 ubiquitin ligase protein. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum where it mediates the ubiquitination of target proteins for degradation. Expression is detected in the oocyte, egg, and early embryo during cleavage stages through gastrulation, with later expression observed in the brain, eye, spinal cord, branchial arches, and pronephros.
