AI Protein Function : tab3 encodes an adaptor/scaffold protein that participates in TAK1‑mediated signaling cascades, facilitating activation of NF‑κB and MAPK pathways; it modulates cytokine‑induced transcriptional responses and is required for proper embryonic development of the brain, eye, heart, neural tube, somites and kidney; the protein localizes predominantly in the cytoplasm but translocates to the nucleus upon pathway activation.
